The Lake Tebera Rainbowfish (Melanotaenia herbertaxelrodi), also commonly known as the Yellow Rainbowfish, is a vibrant freshwater species endemic to the Lake Tebera basin in the Southern Highlands of Papua New Guinea. Highly prized in the aquarium hobby for its brilliant coloration and peaceful nature, it is often recommended as an excellent beginner-friendly rainbowfish.
