Under basic lighting, it maintains a beautiful blend of gold, olive-green, and bronze foliage. However, when pushed under high lighting and supplemented with a quality iron fertilizer, it shifts into overdrive—exploding into striking, fiery shades of copper, orange, and blood-red.

Because it grows quickly, it functions as an excellent natural filter, rapidly absorbing excess nitrates and phosphates from the water column to help outcompete and suppress nuisance algae.
