Endemic to the unique highland waters of Lake Inle in Myanmar, these stunning miniature fish feature brilliant emerald-green to deep sapphire vertical "tiger stripes" over a warm pinkish-gold body. Growing to just 2–2.5 cm, they are the ultimate peaceful schooling fish for beautifully scaped planted tanks.
These tiny, active fish are incredibly peaceful and look their absolute best when kept in a school of 8 or more. Watching a cohesive group weave through lush green aquatic plants, showcasing their bright orange-trimmed fins and striking metallic blue-green bars, is an absolute joy for any fishkeeper.
Because they hail from alkaline, mineral-rich lakes, they are highly adaptable and thrive in standard tap water parameters that many other soft-water nano fish struggle with. While naturally a bit timid at first, they quickly grow bold and vibrant when provided with plenty of live plants, mosses, and hiding spaces.
