Cory - Black Venezuelan (Osteogaster schultzei "Black")

The Black Venezuelan Cory (Osteogaster schultzei "Black") is a popular, peaceful, and hardy freshwater catfish in the aquarium hobby. Despite the common name, the all-black color form is a selectively captive-bred strain (originating in Germany in the 1990s) and not a naturally occurring wild variant from Venezuela

Provide soft sand or fine rounded gravel substrate to protect delicate barbels. Include plenty of hiding spots with driftwood, rocks, and plants. Moderate water flow and good filtration essential. Dimmer lighting preferred.
