Blue Eye - Red Neon (Pseudomugil luminatus)
The Red Neon Blue-Eye Rainbowfish (Pseudomugil luminatus) is a vibrant, peaceful nano fish known for the male's striking neon red to red-orange body and brilliant blue eyes. Native to New Guinea and Australia, they are popular in planted aquariums and are best kept in a school.
Key Features:
- They are peaceful but timid and can easily be outcompeted for food by more aggressive tank mates. They are compatible with adult dwarf shrimp and other non-aggressive invertebrates.
- Temperament - species like the chilli rasbora or celestial pearl danio are excellent companions due to their similar size and peaceful nature.
