Australian Freeze Dried Blackworms are a great source of protein and received well by all types of aquarium fish. In fact sometimes when feeding australian blackworms they can be received a little too well and fish will sometimes refuse other foods. It is for this reason we do not recommend them as a 'staple' diet. They are best fed as part of a varied diet. The worms are then frozen in 2.5 kg blocks and loaded into the Cuddens freeze drier. A vacuum pump takes all the air out of the chamber and then raises the temperature from minus 20deg C to 50deg C . In a vacuum, water will boil at 0 deg C. So as the frozen worms start to thaw, all moisture turns to a vapour and then refrozen on coils inside the chamber. The process is a little bit more complicated then that, but that is the basis of how it is done. Most importantly, the freeze drying process is that it will remove all the moisture from the worms without altering the nutritional facts of the product. Feeding Directions

To feed the Australian freeze dried black worms its as simple as squeezing the required amount of cubes against the inside glass. The fish will be able to graze upon the worms at their discretion. Alternatively, the cubes can be cut to the correct size for smaller species of fish.
